Research Grants at the University of Tokyo, Japan for Humanities and Social Sciences Students

The University of Tokyo, Japan is offering the Kobayashi Research Grants to students of humanities and social sciences with the aim of nurturing them as global leaders. The researchers are also expected to deepen their understanding of and awareness of society and culture in Japan and Asia/Oceania.

Each beneficiary will receive a maximum of 1.2m JPY and a maximum of 32 people will be awarded. Applicants must be from Asian and Asian Pacific region and must follow the application instruction on the scholarship site to be eligible for these grants.
